add HP LaserJet 1100 printer:
1. add it on linux
run redhat-switch-printer switch to LPRng
run redhat-config-printer add new printer
set name which you like(for example:pp),and click next to finished.
You can use lp –d pp 1.txt to print 1.txt
Window share this printer by samba:
You must add followed into smb.conf:
Printer driver=HP LaserJet 1100 (you can see this in file like *.inf, this is too
important and case sensitive)
In smb.conf , printer section’ name must be same as printer name, here should
be [pp]
Restart smb, lpd
In window add printer, select network printer and enter \\jjj\pp in location
system will require you install driver. you must have correct driver in advance.
Now you can use this network printer.
linux share JetDirect printer
run redhat-config-printer add new printer
set name which you like

select type: JetDirect
enter IP,finish!
linux share network printer on window :
first share the printer on windows.
run redhat-config-printer add new printer
set name which you like
select type: network windows (SMB)
select you window computer name and printer shared.
